Emerson upgrades Omni cleaning system

Global technology company Emerson has upgraded its Branson Omni 1620 cleaning system by adding a number of new features.

The company has upgraded the system by adding a user-friendly touchscreen HMI, full PLC control, and a new ultrasonic generator that delivers more powerful cavitation action and cleaning performance for medical device components. The latest Omni 1620 model made its debut at MD&M East 2018.

When in use, the system utilises precise and powerful ultrasonic cavitation, pulsing thermostatically controlled, heated solution at 40 kHz to clean even the smallest features and crevices of each part in the cleaning tank.

Because of the system’s small footprint, plus optional features like HEPA filtration and closed-loop process control, the Omni 1620 can be easily installed in either a clean-room environment or an assembly shop area.”
