DuPont & Holst Centre extend long-term collaboration

Science and engineering company DuPont Electronics & Communications (DuPont) and Holst Centre have announced that they will be extending their long-term collaboration, which focuses on advanced materials for the printed electronics industry.

The Printed Electronics programme has DuPont contributing new materials and research samples targeted towards Holst’s active projects in the areas of wearable electronics, in-mould electronics, consumer electronics and healthcare.

Kerry Adams, printed electronics market segment manager DuPont said: “We’re pleased to extend our collaboration with Holst Centre, continuing to work together in advancing new developments in printed electronics. In addition to advancing the technology, the collaboration provides us with valuable insights into the needs and requirements of other Holst partners, including end-users and equipment suppliers, enabling open innovation and accelerating product and application development.” 

The collaboration will focus on developing and testing complete complementary material systems and creating working demonstrators and prototypes. The end goal of the collaboration will be for the development of commercial products.

DuPont will showcase the latest developments in wearable electronics, in-mould electronics, consumer electronics and healthcare at the International Exhibition and Conference for Printed Electronics, in Munich, Germany.
