Clariant to open new centre near New York City

Clariant, a chemicals company has announced plans to open a Consumer Care Innovation Centre (CCIC) near New York City later this year.

Clariant currently has more than 50 sites, and the new CCIC will hope to provide more differentiated and tailored products for personal, home care and health care customers.

Ernesto Occhiello, CEO of Clariant stated: “We strive to provide best customer experience and reliable customer fulfilment. Having this centre in place will enhance our ability to do so for our global personal and home care as well as health care customers, and especially for those located in the New York City area.

“By intensifying cooperation, we can deliver products with more substantiated claims on customer formulations that provide the basis for a successful and mutually beneficial relationship and drive growth for Clariant in North America.”

The new CCIC will be located in New Providence, New Jersey and plans to start its activities in July 2019. The centre will give access to people located within the New York-New Jersey Metro area.

The 1,333 sq. meter (14, 350 sq. foot) facility plans to have a demonstration room, a high-tech application and claims laboratory, a testing centre where lab results can be correlated with actual consumer perceivable testing and a collaboration space for interactive and creative thinking.

Therefore, the centre will allow Clariant’s scientific, marketing and technical experts to try and help customers meet consumer demands.
