A Bridge Over The Atlantic: Phillips-Medisize Launches New Logo and Tagline at MD&M West

The newly formed Phillips-Medisize launched its new logo and tagline at MD&M West in California today at a press conference presented by Matt Jennings, President and CEO.

The new tagline "Partnerships Built on Innovation” reflects the fact that both Phillips and Medisize previously were among the elite in innovation and placed huge emphasis on establishing firm relationships with their customers in designing and developing new products.

One of the first benefits Matt expects the newly formed company to gain is significantly lower costs thanks to an enhanced capability in the automation of small to medium volume production runs.

Talking directly to Sam Anson, Matt said: "Medisize has brought an excellence in automation know-how and Phillips brings a strong expertise in multi shot moulding. As a result we expect to be able to offer low cost automated multi shot moulding, which will give us a competitive edge in our existing markets and as we expand further afield, particularly into Asia."

During the press conference Matt Jennings explained that Phillips-Medisize, now an earner of $500 million a year, enjoys 75% of these sales in the global medical device industry. He also made reference to a highly challenging 4-shot moulding process with 4 different materials which has been recently achieved to reduce part count in a small electronics enclosure.

Matt Jennings went on to say: “In this market it is no surprise that the concept of innovation resonates so well with our customers.” He continued, “Our company scored very well in the research in the area of innovation so it was only logical that this concept should play a prominent role in our branding.”

The name and branding change process will be rolled out over the ensuing months and the company intends to actively work with its customers, regulatory agencies and suppliers to effectively execute this change.
