During the events, polymer science company, DuPont is showcasing its material technologies which aims to enable customers to develop smarter healthcare solutions for positive patient outcomes.
Compamed
During Compamed, DuPont is showcasing its technology range and growing portfolio of material solutions for patient-centric medical device applications. DuPont’s polymers aim to enable the design of smaller, less invasive and more performant self-administered drug delivery devices, and the organisation’s advance wound and ostomy care attempts to ensure more reliable and comfortable skin adhesion for wearable devices by using DuPont's silicone skin adhesive technology. Additionally, the company wants to show visitors how to reinforce processability with the highest purity DuPont Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) and High Consistency Rubber (HCR) solutions for demanding medical devices.
DuPont is also exhibiting its Tyvek solutions. These are used in virtually every form of sterile medical packaging for a wide variety of products like surgical kits, medical instrumentation or injection systems. Tyvek’s properties provide resistance to microbial penetration, breathability, puncture and tear resistance and compatibility with a wide range of sterilisation methods.
Medica 2019
At Medica, DuPont is introducing the next generation of wireless wearable monitoring solutions by combining DuPont Intexar soft stretchable electronics and DuPont silicone soft skin adhesives in a connected wearable patch prototype, designed by the Holst Center and manufactured by Pronat Medical. The combination of these materials offers biocompatibility, breathability and patient comfort.
During the event, Russell Anderson, technical specialist for DuPont Advanced Materials, is speaking about the benefits of this concept at the Medica Connected Healthcare Forum session on Digital Prevention. The session is on November 20th at 16:45 Central European Time (CET).
DuPont is exhibiting in hall 8a on stands K37 and K39 in Compamed and also in hall 13 on stand D46 in Medica. The two events are running alongside one another from 18th to 21st November in Düsseldorf, Germany.
