Provider of raw material specialities for the plastics industry, Velox, is returning to this year’s Compamed after several years of not attending.

Velox will be exhibiting alongside Topas and IPC and will be presenting highly specialised plastic and compounds for the medical and pharmaceuticals industry.
Siobhan Bastiansen, market manager Medical Plastics at Velox, said: “Compamed has always been a key trade show for the medical plastics sector. Over the past editions we have been successful in establishing valuable and long-term contact with customers and suppliers alike. So this year we are returning with two new partners and our own stand.”
Topas Advanced Polymers is a manufacturer of cyclo-olefin copolymers (COC). This highly transparent engineering plastic is ideally suited for pharmaceutical primary packaging as well as medical and diagnostic articles. The material is especially pure, offering excellent barrier protection and outstanding biocompatibility. Topas offers a broad selection of application-specific COC grades. Velox is the exclusive distributor for Topas in Europe, excluding Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Beyond COC, the company will be presenting other specialities from TOPAS’s comprehensive product range at Compamed.
IPC (Innovative Polymer Compounds) specialises in manufacturing materials for medical applications. The company develops custom compounds for a variety of applications requiring particular purity and quality, such as long-term implants. Having represented IPC in the European market for several years, Velox collaborates with the firm to deliver on-demand solutions even with short lead times and in small quantities.
Velox medical plastics experts will be showcasing a wide variety of thermoplastic polymer specialties as well as a range of technical and engineering support services.
