Piovan sectors
Piovan's new sector led approach includes medical and pharmaceutical as a dedicated area.
"Industry Expertise" is the wording that sums up the company’s evolution towards industry sector specialisation.
If, up to now, Italian materials handling equipment maker Piovan has specialised in plastic transformation processes (injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion) and the processing of polymers such as PET (preforms) and PC (optical applications), now the company's evolving expertise enables it to operate in specific industrial segments.
Industry Expertise is thus a new marketing concept which refers to eight fields of application, namely packaging, automotive, industrial and electronics, building and construction, textile, fFurniture-toys-housewares, medical and pharmaceutical, recycling and compounds.
Each of these fields can be broken down into additional specialised sectors. Packaging, for instance, embraces sectors such as PET preforms, thermoforming sheets, cap production, vial blowing, blown film extrusion, plastic bands and so forth.
The approach shaping Piovan’s strategies and defining its worldwide organisation over the past ten years was based on plastic transformation process such as injection moulding, blow moulding and extrusion and on specific market like the PET preforms one. Nowadays, the wide-scale evolution in Piovan’s technological and application expertise translates into the world markets as "Industry Expertise", which refers to the in-depth knowledge of customers in all their distinctive and unique aspects.
The message included in this new claim confirms Piovan’s commitment to gaining thorough knowledge of their customers by understanding their own needs.
In fact, customer needs shape Piovan's offer and determine the company's organisation.
The sales force becomes the customer's ally by sharing its targets and strategies.
To back this new approach, Piovan’s main focus will be on the extensive development of new products and engineering activities.
The consolidation of a massive technological advantage, achieved through highly successful machines such as drying systems like Genesys and Modula, cooling systems like PETchiller and Ecosmart and the expansion into new fields of application with Ryng, Winfactory and other products being developed, will form the backbone of the Piovan’s success in the coming years.
