Minnesota Rubber & Plastics (MRP), now part of Trelleborg, will exhibit innovation capabilities in highly engineered elastomer and thermoplastic solutions for medical device applications at MD&M West on 7th-9th February.
MRP will display their end-to-end medical device manufacturing capabilities for critical-to-function components, including drug-eluting medical devices. Medical device manufacturers can speak with MRP’s experts about capabilities in finishing sterile devices with and without active pharmaceutical ingredients. They can also learn how to unlock the full potential of materials science to bring highly valuable and differentiated products to market. Attendees are invited to find out about the Innovation Center where customers can develop production-intent prototypes at unparalleled speed through an immersive engineer-to-engineer experience.
Don Bonitati, director of medical at Minnesota Rubber & Plastics, says: “We’re enjoying the limitless potential that a production-intent prototype tooling process can bring to our customers. Our new Innovation Center enhances the collaborative process allowing us to deliver industry leading solutions, as well as time and overall cost savings early within the development process.
“Any geometry or material can be developed and created in our new Innovation Center, permitting our customers and the industry to reap the benefits of new products coming to the market faster. Visitors can also find out the latest news and updates about the recent acquisition of Minnesota Rubber & Plastics by Trelleborg.
“Becoming part of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, a global leader in polymer solutions, unlocks new benefits for MRP customers, allowing the company to fulfill its commitments to excellence and innovation, while expanding global reach. MRP will display polymer products from Trelleborg and are eager to discuss the synergies and capabilities resulting from the recent merger.”
Bonitati adds: “We are very excited to be part of the Trelleborg family and leverage the strengths of both companies to become a one-stop-shop for customers requiring accelerated time to market. Together we are the natural development partner for both local and global customers, especially in the medical device market.”
