BioInteractions has been a supplier to the medical device industry for over 30 years and supported key medical device manufacturers through their innovative materials.
During the Med-tech Innovation Expo, BioInteractions is showcasing their multiple coating products.
- Assist Hydrophilic Coating is a multi-action coating which significantly reduces the friction on a surface, as well as providing surface protection benefits.
- Astute Antithrombogenic Coating uses multi-action technology to prevent thrombosis formation, mimic endothelia action and reduce deposition onto the surface.
- They will also have their TridAnt Antimicrobial Technology on hand. It utilises multi-action, non-leaching materials to kill 99.999% of gram positive & gram negative bacteria as well as yeast, consistently for up to 365 days.
BioInteractions told Medical Plastics News: “At this year’s Med-Tech Innovation Expo, BioInteractions is highlighting its three market-leading technology solutions, Assist, Astute and TridAnt. Following on from a very successful launch at MD&M West in April, we will be continuing to showcase TridAnt, a new antimicrobial coating technology for medical devices which represents a paradigm shift in infection prevention and protection against a broad range of pathogens. TridAnt incorporates active and passive components to create the first truly non-leaching, effective, safe and durable antimicrobial coating for even the most sensitive medical devices and implants, helping to save lives and time needed for medical treatment.”
In addition to their products, Arjun Luthra, commercial director at BioInterations, is discussing infection prevention measures and healthcare infections on the conference stage on 9th June. During his speech, Luthra will outline the infection prevention measures that can be used in the clinical setting and the HAI’s it can guard against.
