Medical 3D printing company, Axial3D, has been listed as a global healthcare technology leader on the Global Digital Health 100 list.
The Global Digital Health 100 list is produced annually and claims to recognise the most innovative health technology companies from around the world. This year’s list is extremely diverse and includes a range of categories which have the potential to transform the way healthcare is delivered, including; clinical solutions, wearable technologies, 3D printing, healthcare applications, medical devices, virtual reality and data analytics.
The list has consistently identified early-stage solution providers that have gone on to become some of the world’s most successful health technology companies, including: Babylon Health, SilverCloud Health, One Medical, and Butterfly Network.
Roger Johnston, CEO, Axial3D said: “Axial3D being listed as a global leader of healthcare technology on the Global Digital Health 100 is a great recognition of the change in surgical planning being driven by our team.
“This announcement shows the real value that our patient-specific 3D anatomical models are adding to the patient journey. With nearly eight million complex procedures taking place each year, the need for 3D models for surgical planning is great, but it is only with the automation of the model creation process that this potential can be realised.”
He added: “Today, the legacy suppliers in the market often take weeks to produce a single model which really limits the number of surgical procedures where 3D printing can be viably used for pre-operative planning. Axial3D is fundamentally and uniquely addressing this limitation so that our anatomical models are delivered to surgeons within a few days rather than weeks."
Matthew Driver, editor-in-chief at the journal of mHealth, commented: “The Global Digital Health 100 recognises and celebrates the companies and technology leaders within the industry that are raising the bar and shaping the future of healthcare delivery. We are proud to support the growth and success of this thriving technology industry which is being led by the honourees of these awards.
“The Journal of mHealth gains a unique perspective from our relationship with emerging health technology markets around the world. This enables us to bring one of the most comprehensive lists of technology providers who are representative of the latest technology trends from across the healthcare industry.”
