Felix Früh has been appointed Head of the Kistler Group’s Plastics Business Unit. As a trained physicist, Früh brings many years of experience in the industrial goods sector and in the conceptual development of digital solutions to the table. His goal is to further expand the Kistler Group's range of digital services.
Throughout his career, Felix Früh has never committed himself to just one industry. He has been attracted both to manufacturing and to the IT and telecommunications industries. “I've always enjoyed working in both worlds,” Früh says. His career has included positions both at the industrial giant Siemens, managing the company’s key accounts for the pulp and paper industries, and at Deutsche Telekom, driving forward the group’s transformation towards new technologies and business areas such as IoT and data. Most recently, he headed the transportation business unit at LEONI-Studer (now Studer Cables), a cable manufacturer.
At Kistler, Früh will have the opportunity to play to both of his strengths, in operational sales and in the area of digitalisation. His most important goal is to fully exploit the opportunities that digitalisation offers. "As the new Head of BU Plastics, my primary aim is to drive the expansion of our data-based business forward," Früh says. "In the long term, we want to provide plastics manufacturers with AI-driven courses of action, in addition to data, which they can use to improve their results.”
