Repsol, a global energy company, announces the addition of new low-density polyethylene (LDPE) grades to its range.
This range extension has been made possible due to the company’s LDPE plant in Sines, Portugal.
Repsol also has pharma units in Tarragona and Puertollano. In Tarragona the plant produces polypropylene (PP), LDPE and high-density polyethylene (HDPE), whereas in Puertollano the facility makes ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers.
The organisation has added new LDPE grades that claim to offer processors a wide variety of alternatives to meet their needs for both melt flow index (0.3–20 g/10’) and density. These new grades also allow processors to manufacture novel containers, parts and films using lamination, blown film extrusion and injection.
Repsol unveiled its range of Repsol healthcare polyolefins for pharmaceutical packaging and medical devices during this year’s Compamed. The show took place from 18th to 21st November in Düsseldorf.
