TM Robotics has launched a new robotics consultation service to advise plastic manufacturers on how automation can aid recovery and growth.
Plastic manufacturing has experienced extraordinary change, and this consultation service aims to help companies respond to the shifting needs of the sector.
In 2018 alone, there was approximately 20,000 installations for this industry, however, the needs of the plastics industry are changing.
Unlike some vertical sectors, the plastics industry has experienced unprecedented spikes in demand. From medical supplies to food packaging, plastic has proven to be an essential manufacturing realm during the Covid-19 pandemic. Having increased production output and worked tirelessly to diversify product offerings, plastic manufacturers are set for a long period of change when readjusting to the new normal.
Assessing the state of manufacturing, the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) has suggested that it will be key for manufacturers to adopt and invest in robots to ensure growth against the ongoing challenges of Covid-19.
Therefore, manufacturers may be looking to increase their operational efficiency and reduce overheads with automation - but do so without excessive risk. TM Robotics’ new service aims to support plastic manufacturers through their investments and will provide free consultations to help them determine the best approach for their recovery.

Consultations will be held virtually using a video conferencing service and will be hosted by one of TM Robotics’ robotic automation experts. Alternatively, consultations can be arranged by appointment.
