Global manufacturer Avantor wil be showcasing its NuSil brand of biocompatible silicone adhesive technologies at Medtec China this year, the company has announced.

Technology experts from the company will be able to discuss how NuSil can help medical device manufacturers improve their product process and device performance. Experts at the company’s booth (B109) will also be able to discuss the full range of Nusil adhesives and help manufacturers evaluate and select the right type of silicone adhesives for their applications.
NuSil adhesives includes one and two-part room temperature (RTV) and high temperature vulcanizing (HTV) formulations. A wide range of NuSil primers are also available to increase adhesion to different substrates during the manufacturing process.
“Silicone adhesives can be formulated numerous ways to accommodate adhesion, substrate compatibility, performance characteristics and cure profiles,” said Anthony Feng, vice president, Biomaterials. “Given the possible variations in adhesive formulations and application demands, NuSil’s customisation capabilities provide options for specific device designs and manufacturing process requirements.”
In addition to silicone adhesive technology, Avantor will highlight several other NuSil solutions including lubricious silicone materials and in situ cure technology for silicone elastomers.
Medtec China will take place 26-28 September in Shanghai, China.
