ABHI will be leading the largest pavilion of UK health technology companies at Medica 2020, promising a cost-effective solution for UK companies looking to develop and nurture international trade links at the world’s largest medical trade fair.
Messe Düsseldorf
The healthtech trade body is ushering in the new decade by announcing a package that includes a package of enhanced services designed to increase footfall and visibility. Last year, over 120,000 visitors attended the show.
Paul Benton, managing director, International, said: “I am delighted to say the ABHI UK Pavilion will provide the most cost-effective solution to exhibit at Medica, as well as offering exhibitors a range of bespoke activities designed to enhance their experience. All ABHI UK Pavilion exhibitors will enjoy a high-quality branded stand design, with on-hand support, inclusion in ABHI’s wide-reaching complimentary PR and marketing – and for the first time, a dedicated partnering service to support their individual export objectives.”
With more than 5,500 exhibitors from 71 countries – and thousands of visitors expected to visit the pavilion every day – Medica is a prime opportunity for UK companies to meet their global partners in one place.
Through exhibiting with ABHI, they have full access to a central support stand, meeting areas, working offices and an internet café. With several of the ABHI’s senior leadership team in attendance throughout the entire exhibition, companies also have access to support and guidance on key issues such as regulatory, healthcare policy and market access.
Added to this, the ABHI’s extensive publicity work provides UK exhibitors with great exposure both prior to and during the show – helping them to form new partnerships and find new opportunities to develop their business across the globe.
Robinson Healthcare has exhibited on the ABHI UK Pavilion three years in a row. Speaking about her experience Andrea Bradshaw, marketing communications manager, said: “Each time it gets better! We had a really good reception of our new products by good quality visitors and we were very busy on the stand. The ABHI stand staff could not have been more helpful and the hospitality provided was very welcome. We will definitely be exhibiting at Medica in 2020 with the ABHI.”
Exhibiting for the first-time last year, Scottish company Clear Surgical explains how Medica has helped the company to develop new business opportunities globally.
Michelle Ward, chairman and CEO said: “Had we not attended Medica, we would not have been successful in building our business as rapidly as we did. We have since signed a number of international commercial contracts with both European and South American markets. We were delighted with the six-figure annual revenue figures we agreed, but since then this has grown substantially to well over £1 million across around 12 countries, including Spain, Italy, and Brazil - all key markets for Medical Devices. We have now agreed three-year distributor agreements.”
Medica 2020 takes place 16-20 November in Düsseldorf, Germany. For more information on how to book a stand visit www.abhi.org.uk/events
