Manufacturer and designer Placon was recently announced as the gold award winner for its packaging design at the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) conference.

The annual SPE conference took place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in September earlier this year. At the event, Placon’s Orthofix medical tray was presented with the gold award for the industrial packaging category.
The Orthofix medical tray has features which enable it to suspend a set of medical device screws with hydroxyapatite coating that prevents abrasion or rubbing off the critical coating that needs to be on each screw for proper medical operating room usage.
