Manufacturer of masterbatches Grafe has announced it has invested in a new facility for the stimulation of extrusion blow moulding.
The announcement follows the company’s work in discovering new areas of application in the creation of innovative products.
Extrusion blow moulding has become the most cost-efficient of the various blow moulding methods currently on the market.
Therefore, Grafe will now offer its customers a new simulation facility for blow moulding, which can simulate applications in multi-layer and co-extrusion blow moulds.
The simulation set up makes it possible to colour two layers of multi-layered mould walls in different colours.
The test facility features a wide range of processing options for thermoplastics using not only polyolefins and PVC, but also PET-G.
Julia Canzler, Head of Design and Packaging at Grafe, said: “This facility allows us to make samples for the qualitative analysis of our colour settings and to produce bottles with three different surfaces in varying radii and sizes.
“This service is available to our customers and to all working in the area of design in the relevant industries.
“Our customers now have the possibility to develop and test their colour ideas together with us at our facility; it is an option to which we cordially invite them.”
With the new service, Grafe has expanded its simulation options for thermoplastic processing methods.
