Editorial Submission Guidelines

Editorial submission guidelines
All editorial contributions must be newsworthy and recent and ideally have not been already published in any of the European medical device titles. We are looking for a word file containing between 500 and 800 words accompanied with high res images and captions explaining what the picture is showing. Please define technical terms and company and brand names wherever possible. We publish in British English.

We welcome scientific innovations from research leaders based at manufacturers and academic institutions. We are able to perform telephone or email interviews and write up copy for approval prior to publication for those who don't have dedicated marketing and public relations resources.

We are looking most importantly for new technologies and contexts in the fields listed above. Technology borrowed from other sectors (eg automotive or electronics) is welcomed. The news can be ground-breaking, innovative applications or new ways of thinking.

Magazine structure

With a dedicated focus of "All Medical, All Plastics", editorial coverage has been structured so that all aspects of the supply chain are covered in every issue.

Industry news is reported first in each issue in On the Pulse. Regulatory updates are covered in Regulation Review. Regional activity is published as part of the regular country focuses. Relevant industry trade shows and conferences—both plastics and medtech—are covered in the events section.

The magazine then looks at the key sectors of the medical plastics supply chain. The latest materials trends are reviewed in Material Diagnosis. Issues in device design are examined in Design 4 Life. Processing machinery is evaluated in two sections—Clean Machines and End of Line. And news from specific product areas are written about in the product focuses.

End users of devices are given the chance to express their views about products in Doctor’s Note. More details on each section and the specific topics to be covered in 2014 are given in the media kit. Click here to download.

We are always on the look out for new contributors and news providers, even if it doesn’t fit in the editorial calendar to the right. Please drop the editor a line with any suggested content at lu.rahman@rapidnews.com.
